Rubtanagi
[Usk'elneg Pell, Treasures Of The Deep] (An oversized, reinforced brass door)
A wild assortment of bizarre items -- most clearly scavenged off the floor
of the ocean -- adorn so much of the walls that even a Gnome might have trouble
finding a spot to lay a casual hand. Most of the odd things are quite beyond
identification, and almost all wear tags proclaiming their status as "not
for sale". Luckily for the ravenous consumer, there is still a wide assortment
of goods ready for purchase. You also see some curved coral stairs, a rough
coral wall-rack with some stuff on it, a murky glass case and a brass door.
Obvious exits: none.
>l on wal-rack
lOn the coral wall-rack you see a horseshoe crab shell shield, a large
tortoiseshell shield and a salt-stained tower shield scarred deeply with
a seven-pointed star.
>l in case
In the glass case you see a dented gold amulet bearing an Elothean visage,
an intricately carved whalebone, a twisted seaweed necklace festooned with
dangling coins, a darkened silver ring engraved with a seven-pointed star
and a bleached whalebone earring.
>l whalebone (an intricately carved whalebone)
Carved in a distinct stylized fashion, an unusual army of spiders riding
giant fish journeys forth under the watchful eye of a raging Drogor.
>l necklace
Several tarnished copper coins have been pierced through their centers and
attached to the necklace with ribbons of seaweed.
(climb up stairs from main chamber)
[Usk'elneg Pell, Upstairs Balcony]
Though tinier than the room downstairs which this one overlooks, someone has decided that no smaller number of goods should be placed here. Sprawling nets made from the hair of a nameless sea mammal contain the merchandise in rough piles, perhaps to keep vagrant items from floating away when the island is submerged. You also see a giant turtle shell with some stuff on it, some curved coral stairs and a rough net.
>l on shell
On the turtle shell you see a discolored broadsword faintly etched with a
seven-pointed star, a brass cutlass tinted with a greenish patina, a white-coral
walking stick capped with a gold skull and a massive war hammer with a warped
bone hilt.
>app cutlass
It is a medium edged type weapon.
It appears as if it could do:
low puncture damage
fair slice damage
low impact damage
The cutlass is fairly balanced and is fairly suited for gaining extra attack
power from your strength.
>l stick
The walking stick is in flawless condition.
Though jawless, the gold skull's upper row of teeth burrow into the coral of the shaft as if it feared being dislodged from its perch.
>app stick
It is a short staff type weapon.
It appears as if it could do:
no puncture damage
no slice damage
fair impact damage
The stick is fairly balanced and is fairly suited for gaining extra attack
power from your strength.
>l in net
In the rough net you see a dark crocodile-skin jacket emblazoned with a metallic
blue turtle, a sharkskin jacket neatly trimmed with gold buttons and a faded
uniform jacket from the Royal Fleet.
>l third jacket (faded uniform) (other jackets have no look description)
The pale colors and indelible stains indicate that this jacket was rescued
from a watery grave. A few tassels are missing and the jacket will never
regain its lost glory, but it's otherwise been refurbished quite nicely.
Raldtanagi
[Supce's Lost 'N' Found] (a modest lean-to)
Every square nook of this shop is packed with worthless debris. Rusted blades
hang from the ceiling, clanking together noisily whenever the wind blows
through the door. Water-damaged swaths of colored silk line the walls. When
the air catches them, they billow and ripple, creating the illusion that
the entire shop is painted in still-wet watercolors. You also see a rickety
table with some stuff on it, a large sign and a weapons rack with some stuff
on it.
Obvious exits: out.
>l on tab
On the rickety table you see a rotting leather armband embossed with cuneiform
runes, a delicate platinum frontlet worked with gold butterflies, a corroded
gold cingulum decorated with empty jewel settings, a leather-lined cabasset
and a tarnished silver gorget with milled edges.
>l cingulum
The empty settings form the pattern of a seven-pointed star.
>l gorget
The silver gorget contains several unsightly notches.
You see nothing unusual.
>l armband
The wedge-shaped characters are difficult to make out, but appear to resemble
an ox, a mountain, and the sun.
>l cabasset
The leather-lined cabasset contains several unsightly notches.
The leather lining in the helm has rotted to shreds, offering little extra comfort for the wearer.
>app cabasset
The cabasset looks like it offers protection for the following
areas:
head
It appears to impose light maneuvering hinderance and offers:
good protection and moderate damage absorption for puncture attacks
high protection and moderate damage absorption for slice attacks
moderate protection and moderate damage absorption for impact attacks
good protection and moderate damage absorption for fire attacks
moderate protection and moderate damage absorption for cold attacks
poor protection and moderate damage absorption for electrical attacks
Its type is plate.
>read sign
A large sign reads:
"Attention Landlings! Merchandise from ancient to just off the boat! If your ship went down and you see your cargo here, tough! It's mine! I found it fair and square! No haggling! No complaints! All sales final!"
>l on rack
On the weapons rack you see a spiked axe inlaid along the blade with corroded
bronze, a rusty gisarme with a slightly blunted blade and a tarnished swept-hilt
rapier.
>app axe
It is a heavy edged type weapon.
It appears as if it could do:
low puncture damage
moderate slice damage
moderate impact damage
The axe is poorly balanced and is reasonably suited for gaining extra attack
power from your strength.
>app rap
It is a medium edged type weapon.
It appears as if it could do:
fair puncture damage
low slice damage
poor impact damage
The rapier is well balanced and is dismally suited for gaining extra attack
power from your strength.
[Weslella's Cavern] (a narrow passageway)
A myriad particles of polished shell fragments create an iridescent sheen
over the surfaces of this cavern. The ceiling appears to pour onto the floor
via calcified formations that create natural archways throughout the space.
Large falls of still-moist seaweed in brilliant hues of red and yellow spill
from mounted conch shells that also support several lit candles. You also
see a black coral bench with some stuff on it and a sign.
Obvious exits: out.
>read sign
A sign reads:
These precious liquids are formulated for your sense of smell. Wear them gently, and they will remind you always of the sea. You may READ each colored liquid to find out which scent it represents.
>l on bench

a vial of brown liquid, a vial of green liquid, a vial of golden liquid,
a vial of silvery liquid, a vial of amber liquid, a vial of red liquid, a
