The Distant Past...
I grew up in Southern California. Maywood, to be exact. Graduated from Bell High School in 1985.

The Not So Distant Past...
I was married, divorced, married again, had two kids, divorced again. The kids went back and forth between us for awhile. They live in Illinois with their father now.

The Recent Past...
I’m a California Girl.  He’s a Maryland Guy

I must like him more than he likes me because I moved away from the Land of Milk and Honey to be with him.

He’d probably take this opportunity to remind that it was my idea

We met on the Internet. I was happy where I was, He was happy where he was. We were long distance friends for two years. Then the crush happened. We decided to meet, we decided I should come live with him. I drove across the country in a station wagon stuffed to the top with the remnants of my previous life.

Everyone should drive across the country at least once.

We lived in a house in Rockville that we shared with three other people. This was a very interesting time. All of us were bartenders/servers at various restaurants. One of us was from Belfast, one from Buffalo, one from Boston, one from Baltimore and then there was me.

M and I shared the smallest room in the house, we worked at the same restaurant, and when we went out we went together. Amazingly, we didn't get sick of each other after all that.

After nearly a year of living in such close quarters we moved into our own apartment. That's where we are now, and that's pretty much where the journal takes over.

I wasn't very imposing, but I had a big flashlight.
I once had a tug o' war contest with a tiger and a garden hose. Amazingly he let me win...eventually
Lived in Chicago for a year-- hated it.
I adore Irish accents and, conveniently enough, Irish pubs
I met my boyfriend on the internet playing an RPG
I was born in 1967
I had a dream once where I was dead and was a ghost.
I woke up when I led my family and friends to my missing and rotting corpse. Ugh.
At various times I've kept snakes, lizards, cats, dogs, rats, mice, fish, a newt and a hamster as pets.
The hamster is the only one that ever bit me.
Well, ok, the cats did too, but they were playing.
Oh all right, so did one of the snakes, but that was my fault.
The hamster was just mean.
Currently my life revolves around the care of my two Oranda Goldfish
King George and King Louie the Sunspot
Who worry me constantly with their precarious inbred health
